Mahesh Venkateswaran and his team who promote MadRasana with live concerts in intimate settings and use top end audio tech to enhance the listening experience, have taken a break from their run of the December Season festival in Chennai.
The concerts were first held in a movie theatre and then shifted to the the acoustically perfect M S Subbulakshmi Arangam at Asian College of Journalism campus, Taramani. Here, mikes were not used. And concerts were held through the day in December.
A note put out by MadRasana explains why the fest has taken a break this Season –
We invest deeply in production and in crafting the best possible experience for audiences and artists. Having explored many formats over the years, we now feel the need to step back, reflect, and imagine what’s next. While many of you have said you’d happily embrace the same MadRasana quality again, we believe a brief pause will help us return with something genuinely fresh and inspiring.
So, we’re taking a break from the festival this year while we explore new ideas and revisit past formats that could be re-imagined with renewed energy. Meanwhile, our digital releases are only growing—we’re continuing with a weekly cadence so you can enjoy music from MadRasana.
We’d love to hear from you at 9840027103.
