Mudhra hosted its opening evening of its December Season festival at the Vani Mahal’s mini hall in T. Nagar on December 1.

The steady rain and cyclonic weather in Chennai dampened the spirits of rasikas – so there were only a handful of people in the auditorium.

Violin vidushi A. Kanyakunari was decorated with Mudhra’s Award of Excellence by senior dancer-guru Padma Subrahmanyam, in the presence of arts promoter Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti.
