They call it the Ethnic New Year Eve music festival. And it has been held every year for some time now.

Dozens of classical music artistes will take turns to perform on stage from 9.30 p.m. on December 31 at the Vani Mahal hall in T. Nagar, as a symbolic way to welcome the new year with music and prayers.

There will be vocal and instrumental music, Harikatha and jugalbandi through the night and into the New Year dawn.
Entry is free.
