A two-day dance fest has been curated to mark the silver jubilee of the classical dance academy, Krishnanjali, which was founded by the late guru Krishnaveni Lakshmanan, one of the doyens of Kalakshetra.

The venue is Sri Varasiddhi Vinayakar Temple, Besant Nagar. Open to all rasikas.

This is the schedule –

Day 1 / Dec.13 / Saturday

At 6 pm / Kerala Natanam – Gurugopinath style – by Aparna Sarma, Sundaresan T. S. & Rehna

At 7 30 pm / Bharatanatyam by Manasi Bhatkhandhe (guest faculty, Kalakshetra)

Day 2 / Dec. 14/Sunday

At 6 pm premiering Krishnanjali new production titled – Sri Vignarajam Bhaje 

Lyrics : Prof. Va. Ve. Subramanyam. Music: T. K. Padmanabhan. Direction & choreography – V. Balagurunathan

Principal dancers: Sundaresan. P, Varshaa. R, Mayura B and Hamsa B

At 7.30 pm – Bharatanatyam concert by Bhavajan Kumar – disciple of Leela Samson
