Even as Cyclone Fengal raged off the coast of Puducherry and Mylapore shut for the evening on Saturday, Novmber 30, at least 50-odd rasikas sat inside the main auditorium of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, listened to the vocal music of the Malladi Brothers and gave the artistes a standing ovation.
“We loved the effort of the artistes and the rasikas on a day like this,” said Bhavan’s deputy director Venkitachalam after the concert.
The Bhavan’s Season fest takes off first, end November onwards, and features some of the best artistes and it gets a full house on most days; concerts are open to all.
