Sahanas in Mylapore will screen the award-winning documentary film titled ‘Colonial Interlude’ on Nov.24 evening at its premises on D’ Silva Road. The film starts at 6 p.m.
This film explores the magical genre of music that emerged when composer Muthuswami Dikshitar blended Sanskrit lyrics with colonial tunes. Created and directed by the music composer and educator, Dr. Kanniks Kannikeswaran, this documentary highlights the fusion of cultures through music.
