Focus on music artistes with disabilities

The 20th edition of Parallel Music Festival organised by the Rotary Club of Madras Coromandel is on December 2, 4 pm onwards at the Kasturi Srinivasan Hall of The Music Academy. Artiste T. M. Krishna is the guest of honour.

Life Time Achievement Awards will be conferred on vidwan Guruvayur Durai, Prof. P. P. Ramakrishnan, former principal of Chembai Memorial Government Music College, Palakkad, Kerala, and on vidwan S. R. Krishnamurhy, vocalist.

There are also a few other awards which will be conferred on artistes.

There will be two vocal concerts. One by Karaikal Jaishankar and one by S. Mathangi; both artistes with disabilities. These artistes will be performing with a challenged team of accompanists as well.
