Chennai Music Season
The December Season music festival of Mylapore Fine Arts Club ( MFAC) opens this evening at the sabha’s auditorium on Musiri Subramaniam Road, Mylapore. It starts at 6 p.m.
Two senior artistes, S. Sowmya and Padmini Krishnamurthi will be decorated with titles and felicitated. The evening ends with a dance recital.
Even as Cyclone Fengal raged off the coast of Puducherry and Mylapore shut for the evening on Saturday, Novmber 30, at least 50-odd rasikas sat inside the main auditorium of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, listened to the vocal music of the Malladi Brothers and gave the artistes a standing ovation.
